Vitya is an EMMY and TELLY Award-winning musician, filmmaker, and recording studio designer based in New York City. Originally from Dagestan, Russia, high in the Caucasus Mountains, he was orphaned at birth and later adopted. His journey is as unique as his body of work. From immigrating from a small village to collaborating with some of the biggest names in music in the heart of New York, Vitya’s story is a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the American dream.

As both a music producer and audio engineer, Vitya has worked with artists including Wu-Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, Migos, Felukah (Egypt), ZAMA (Haiti), Dyna Edyne, Munisa Rizayeva (Uzbekistan), Dada Yute (Brazil), Alime Arif (Crimea), and Tabou Combo. His music has been featured on international radio stations, in commercials, and in film scores. He has also received two GRAMMY consideration recognitions for his work as a producer and engineer.

A lifelong musician, Vitya began studying piano at age six and guitar and bass at age ten, eventually mastering a wide range of instruments and musical genres from around the world. His studies in audio production began at age 15 through a vocational program at Wilson Tech, which launched his freelance career recording local bands and rappers while he was still in high school.

Vitya later studied film production at Brooklyn College, where he expanded into filmmaking through composing film scores and sound design, including work on Nou Se Fos, the first Haitian superhero film. He won an EMMY for his audio work on the documentary The Last Out and received a TELLY Award for his work in audio and music composition.

More recently, Vitya has expanded into studio design, combining skills developed during his years apprenticing as an electrician with his deep technical and production expertise. He has designed and built music recording studios, broadcast television sets, and film production spaces for major clients including Quad Studios and The Walt Disney Company. Today, he continues to balance this work alongside his freelance career as a musician and filmmaker.

Throughout his life and career, Vitya has learned that adaptability and perseverance are the keys to success. From overcoming the challenges of being orphaned at birth to sharing his story through documentaries that inspire audiences worldwide, his journey reflects the power of creativity, determination, and self-belief. From teaching himself piano as a child to producing records and building studios that inspire future generations, Vitya continues to use his art and experiences to motivate young creatives to pursue their own dreams.
