Writer’s Lab at Jacksonville Public Library

Join Diaspora Whispers Inc. for a special Writers Lab experience at the Main Public Library in Jacksonville, Florida from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. This educational and creative program will feature a screening of African Diasporans Hidden Kulture Part I: Jacksonville, Florida, followed by a children’s book reading of Amara’s Adventures: A Trip to Jacksonville, Florida’s African American Museums.

Children will engage in purposeful conversations surrounding storytelling, literacy, African American history, and the importance of preserving culture through film and literature. This community-centered event is designed to inspire creativity, education, and purposeful dialogue for youth and families.
